This will be a 2nd Shift Weeknight position with a 4/10 schedule. Shift differential will be applicable for this position.

POSITION SUMMARY

Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
  • Advises Project Manager of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
  • Confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

Education:

  • Desired: Degree in Aviation or Business Administration.

Experience:

  • Generally 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Experience with Quantum preferred.
  • Experience in similar activities ( planning or production planning)

Knowledge:

  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles and practices in their work assignments which typically are moderately complex in nature. Aircraft production environment

  • Proficiency with planning practices and tools
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Utilization of Lean Production concepts

Abilities:

  • Data analysis and consolidation

Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
  • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
