POSITION SUMMARY
Facilities Specialist repairs and maintains buildings/facilities. Uses expertise for diagnosis and for emergency repairs.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
Ø Provides preventive and cost-efficient repairs.
Ø Conducts routine or periodic inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery and equipment.
Ø Acts as leader for less-skilled assistants.
Ø Consults with engineers and vendors.
Ø Performs and oversees maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and welding.
Ø Oversees routine maintenance and cleaning duties of the break rooms, coffee stations, bathroom checks, hanger and office areas.
Ø Maintains and cleans, when necessary, the grounds, gardens and buildings.
Ø Assists with furniture set-up and office assembly/removal.
Ø Sets up tables, cabinets, chairs, shelves, etc. for conferences and meetings
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
High School Diploma.
Experience:
Generally, at least 3 to 5 years of experience in Facilities Maintenance.
Experience in infrastructure maintenance activities including carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, welding, assembly, set up, and removal of furniture.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ø Assignments require Comprehensive Knowledge of all possible tasks and responsibilities within their Technical Area.
Ø Skills are broadly applied in multiple Technical Areas.
Ø Maintenance techniques related to carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and welding.
Ø Professional driver’s license.
Ø Knowledge of the methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in the construction, maintenance, repair and operation of facilities.
Ø Some knowledge of office (Excel and Word), internet explorer, and lotus notes.
Ø ENS system, company policies and procedures.

Ø Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
